Things to Come
Here we have probably the best book on Prophecy ever written. This complete work in Biblical Escatology is massive yet easy to read and understand.
Bibles & Manuscripts
New Bible Conspiracy
Westcott and Hort were able to convince the vast majority of New Testament scholars of the "truth of their textual choices." They argued that the Greek text behind the King James Version New Testament was inferior and late. Are the New Bibles since the King James part of a secret conspiracy as some KJV only advocates claim?
Facts about The Textus Receptus
It originated through a highly exaggerated statement -- actually a publisher's blurb -- in the preface of the second edition of the Greek New Testament that was published in Holland in 1633 by the Elzevir brothers. In this Latin preface they called their book "the text which is now received by all, in which we give nothing changed or corrupted."
Salvation
Death
Therefore, just as through one man (Adam) sin entered into the world, and death through sin, and so death spread to all men because all sinned" (Rom. 5:12).
The Passover Lamb
The blood on the lintel secured Israel's peace, and the center of unity.
The Finished Work of Christ
The basis for our salvation by grace is found in what is properly called "the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross."
Justification a Declaration
When a sinner believes on Jesus Christ for the remission of his sins God imputes to the believer the righteousness of Christ.
The Riches Of Divine Grace
Lewis Sperry Chafer in his eight volume Systematic Theology lists thrity-three stupendous works of God which together comprise the salvation of the soul. Works that are wholly wrought by God, wrought instantaneously, simultaneously...
The Two Adams
Adam, and his rebellious act of disobedience in the Garden, is the "one man" through whom sin entered into the world.
Paul's Gospel
Paul in his great Epistles reveals Christ as our Righteousness, Sanctification, Redemption, and All in All.
For Christ Our Passover Has Been Sacrificed
The first Passover prefigured what God would accomplish through the death of His own "first born" Son, Jesus Christ.
If We Confess Our Sins
Both Protestant Bible scholars and the Catholic teaching authority (Magesterium) interpret this verse in John's first Epistle as instructing Christians to continuously confess to God all known sins with the result that God forgives and cleanses the confessor of those specific sins.
Identification & Grace
The New Man
Is a believer in Christ a sinner saved by God's Grace while possesseing a sin nature?
The Gospel Part II - Identification
As we learn of our identification with Christ we begin to focus in on our position in Him, the source of our spiritual life.
The Prosperity Formula
Financial prosperity is all well and good, and if handled wisely, it can help make some aspects of life easier for Believers as we wait for the Lord's return or for the time when we will leave this world to go home to be with Him.
He Lived The Life That We Could Not?
An axiom often repeated by evangelicals when presenting the gospel message is that Christ came into this world to live the life that we could not.
Church Age
King of Hearts
It is important to note that nowhere in the New Testament Epistles (which explain the faith during this Church age) is Jesus ever given the designation "King of the Church."
The Seven Parables of Matthew 13
Contrary to the teaching of the Amillenarian and the Postmillenarian, this present age is not the Millennial Kingdom which Jesus, the rightful heir to the Dividic throne (Lk. 1:32-33), will establish at His 2nd Advent. It is instead an age when the King is absent and the righteous (good soil, wheat, small mustard seed, meal, good fish) and the wicked (bad soil, tares, birds, leaven, bad fish) are allowed to exist together.
Two Millennia of Church History
For almost two thousand years since its birth, the church has been in the process of being built. Church history is the record of that construction. It is an important record because it reveals what happens when the church is led in the right direction and what results when it is led astray.
Dominionism & Society
Dominion Theology
Should Christians take dominion in the world before Christ returns? Is there a Biblical mandate to occupy or control all secular institutions until Christ returns.
Societal Sins
Euthanasia, Abortion and Capital Punishment. Although all three deal in death we will consider them as separate issues since they are executed on different classes of people...
Fornication In A Postmodern World
We live in what has been coined a postmodern society. That is, one which no longer recognizes or adheres to moral absolutes. Certainly not what we know as Biblical moral absolutes.
Israelology
The "Land for Peace" Deal
Starting with Jimmy Carter, presidents have tried to broker peace between Israel and her Arab neighbors, by requiring Israel to give up part of the land God gave them in exchange for peace. President George W. Bush has become the first American President to advocate the creation of a Palestinian state in the heartland of Israel, Judea and Samaria. This he has done with constant forceful pressure.
The Mystery of Israel's Blindness
God's past election of Israel is based upon His sovereignty and whether we agree with His decision or not, God has chosen the nation of Israel to be His "peculiar treasure" (Ex. 19:5). Yet Israel has rejected God's righteousness and stumbled in unbelief.
The Millennial Temple
Amilleniarians challenge, and at times berate, the Premillenarians who teach that the Temple described in Ezekiel chapters 40-48, and the sacrifices presented there, are to be interpreted and understood literally. Their rejection of a literal interpretation of these chapters is based upon the unbiblical notion that God is forever finished with national Israel being replaced by the Church which, they claim, is now "spiritual Israel."
Satanic Origins of Antisemitism
That the exiled Jewish people would find "no resting place for the sole of their feet" in Gentile nations has proven true historically.
That Same Old Problem
A very clever false dichotomy (a scheme of the evil one) began in the first century and has taken a firm root in the thinking processes of believing and unbelieving men to this day. This false dichotomy is Jew as opposed to "Christian." The nonsensical idea that if a Jew should believe in Jesus he is automatically rendered a non-Jew.
Fulfilled Messianic Prophecies
Listed are over 300 prophecies from the the Old Testament, with the fulfilling New Testament Scriptures, revealing that Jesus is The Messiah!
The Fortunes Of Israel
Augustianian Catholicism, Eastern Orthodoxy, Covenant and Reform theology, as well as all cult writings agree, one way or another, that God is no longer concerned or committed to national (Old Testament) Israel.
Abraham - Israel - The World
Covenant theology cannot see the future glory of the restored nation of Israel with her Messiah, Jesus Christ, reigning over the entire earth on His father David's throne in the exalted city of Jerusalem because it refuses to recognize the four unconditional covenants that reveal this marvelous truth.
Israel: The Center of Divine History
It is remarkable, but the Bible alone views history from the vantage point of Israel, especially from Genesis 12 through Acts 8. The prophet Isaiah, for instance, envisioned Israel as occupying "the center of the earth": In that day shall Israel be ... a blessing in the midst of the earth (Isa. 19:24).
Prophecy
Jerusalem, A Goblet of Drunkenness
Recently the United Nations Security Counsel and voted unanimously for the creation of a Palestinian State to be carved out of the land of Israel, the land that God promised to Israel by His everlasting covenant.
Are These the Last Days?
Believers are often told that these days we are now living in are the end times or the last days. Some Bible references do refer to our persent time, the Church in the last days, while others do not, they refer to Israel in the Tribulation period. The context enables us to know whether the Bible is speaking of the last days relating to Israel or the last days in reference to the Church.
End Times Sequence of Events
What does the future hold for Humanity? God has a plan for this earth and for his Heavenly and Earthly people.
The Times of The Gentiles
It doesn't matter if the Jews have control over Jerusalem again, or even build their temple on the Temple Mount, Jerusalem will still be trampled underfoot UNTIL Daniel's prophecies are completely fulfilled.
The Fulness of The Gentiles
The Church is being called for God's purpose in this age, while national Israel has been broken off.
Who's That Woman?
In Revelation chapter twelve John is given a sign in heaven of a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars; she is with child and being in labor crying out in pain to give birth. Before her stands a dragon so that when she does give birth he might devour her child.
Pre-Trib Rapture Deception?
Recently, pre-wrath advocate Marvin Rosenthal wrote that the pre-trib rapture was of Satanic origin and unheard of before 1830.
Ancient Pre-Trib Rapture Statement
All the saints and elect of God are gathered together before the tribulation, which is to come, and are taken to the Lord...
Michael The Restrainer
Question: Are you familiar with Rosenthal's Pre-Wrath Rapture view? I have a question concerning his view that the restrainer of 2 Thess 2:7 is the Archangel Michael and not the Holy Spirit (who is taken out of the way, not out of the world).
50 Reasons for the Pretribulation Rapture
While posttribulationism appeared as early as 2 Thessalonians 2, many in the early church believed in the imminency of the Lord's return, which is an essential doctrine of pretribulationism. Pretribulationism is the only view that allows literal interpretation of all Old and New Testament passages on the Great Tribulation. Pretribulationism distinguishes clearly between Israel and the church and their respective programs.
Theological Studies
The Olive Tree
The Olive Tree is not the Church and it is not Israel. The Olive Tree is those partaking of the divine blessing from Abraham through faith in Christ.
Mysteries of The Bible
Here are some of the greater mysteries God has revealed to us in the New Testament.
The Deity of Jesus Christ
The deity of Jesus Christ has been challenged ever since the days He walked on this earth.
When He, The Holy Spirit, Comes
In the sixteenth chapter of the gospel of John, Jesus tells His disciples that it is to their advantage that He go away because if He does not, the Helper (Gr. Paracletos, "one called alongside to help," or, "Intercessor"), the Holy Spirit, shall not come.
Evangelicals And The Annihilation of Hell Part I
And now, who is responsible for this God-dishonoring doctrine? And what is his purpose? The promulgator of it is Satan himself.
Evangelicals And The Annihilation of Hell Part II
Annihilationists frequently complain that it would be immoral for God to inflict everlasting torture on His creatures.
The Unconditional Covenants
God has made certain unconditional covenants with Israel, they are not dependent on man and thus cannot be broken.
The Biblical Covenants
To understand the Word of God accurately one must become familiar with the eight BIBLICAL covenants. They fall into two classes:
Should The Bible Always be taken Literally
Since the Reformation the Bible has been put back into the hands of the people, and the question that has risen among many students of the Bible is whether or not the Scriptures should always be taken literally - especially when it comes to the prophetic passages.
Remembering The Sabbath
It is true, based on Scripture, that the Sabbath Day was never changed from the seventh day to the first day of the week. However, it is also Biblically true that there is no mandatory obligation for the Church/Body of Christ, corporately or individually, of Jewish origin or Gentile origin, to observe the seventh day Sabbath or set aside any other particular day of the week as holy, for rest or worship.
Theology
Progressive Dispensationalism
Progressive Dispensationalism sets forth a unique and unorthodox method of interpreting the Bible, it rejects the use of the historical-grammatic method.
History and Premillennialism
The Amillennialist often argues that their nonliteral view of the Millennium, with its spiritualizing method of interpreting the Old Testament Kingdom prophecies and applying them to the Church, was the predominate view and hermeneutic of the early church. However, based on historical facts this argument is rendered false.
Theology Adrift
What set the doctrine of eschatology adrift from its secure biblical moorings and resulted in an acute paradigm shift from premillennialism to amillennialism.
Replacement Theology
The dominant view in Christianity has been that the Church is the New Israel, a continuation of the concept of Israel from the Old Testament. Now we look at what the Scriptures teach!
Progressive Dispensationalism Some Observations
Progressive Dispensational is nothing new. It shares many similarities with non-dispensational premillennialism (also called covenant premillennialism or historic premillennialism). It's a middle position between dispensationalism and covenant theology.
Creation & Evolution
Do Fossils Prove Evolution
If someone challenges the theory of organic evolution today, they often get a response back with a question like, "Well, what about the fossil records?"
Six Literal Days of Creation?
Genesis gives the logical order of creation. The Genesis order makes perfect sense since there could be no creation of "light-givers" until He first created light itself.
First Cause - Uncaused - Eternal
The great difference is that the theist believes, based on what we see around us (cause and effect universe).
Church Age Deception

Seventh-Day Adventism - Orthodox or Cult?
In the late 1950s, cult expert Walter Martin, founder of the Christian Research Institute, in collaboration with neo-evangelical Donald Barnhouse, made an extensive investigation of the teachings (doctrines) of Seventh-Day Adventism. Their purpose was to determine whether to classify SDA as part of the evangelical community, or to go along with the majority of evangelicals and treat SDAs as cult members. Martin and Barnhouse concluded that SDA was within the bounds of Christian orthodoxy, but others viewed them as a Sabbath-keeping, Law-enslaving, anti-assurance cult.

The Current End-Time Apostasy of the Church
Apostasy, of course, in some measure, has existed as long as the church. Most of the epistles involve, to some extent, correction of false doctrine and practice that was already in the early church in the days of the apostles.
Jack Van Impe - Master of Memory - Minister of Compromise
He can quote chapter and verse better than anybody and claims to read hundreds of periodicals each year. His knowledge of the scriptures has produced little discernment and for the sake of unity he has compromised the true Biblical faith.
Understanding Islam
The horrific terrorist attack on September 11, 2001 on the World Trade Center in New York and the Pentagon in Washington, DC have caused every American to ask why did it happen? Who did it? And why do they hate us? The investigation of the CIA and FBI has concluded that the attackers were Muslims. Does that mean that every Muslim is a terrorist? By no means. There are many decent Muslims.
Who is the God of the Cults?
The historic Christian church has maintained essential unity for two millennia concerning the nature of God, as proclaimed in creeds, sermons, and books. As revealed in Holy Scripture, God is unlimited in His attributes, yet personal in His relationship with His creation. Moreover, this infinite-personal Deity is indivisible in both His nature and His essence, yet eternally and simultaneously existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The Purpose-Driven Life
Overall he says many good things, and even in the sections where Scripture is abused he often says the right thing but uses wrong Scripture to support it. What's the big deal? The big deal is this: once we sign off on this kind of Christian teaching and torturing of Scripture, the sky is the limit. Rick Warren is misrepresenting Scripture over 40 times as well as peppering his book with extra-biblical psychological theories and other earthly pieces of wisdom, disguised as biblical principles?
The Market-Driven Church
The seeker-sensitive experts would defend marketing as a tool they use to attract more Unchurched Harrys to hear the gospel. Methods change, the message stays the same, is the cliche. What they naively do not seem to understand is that the message will ultimately be shaped by the method. This is especially true of marketing since it, "shapes how one views the world.
The Emerging Church
It seems that the “Emerging Church” is reemerging. However, rather than going back to the inspired Word of God found in the Old and New Testaments, the goal is to reintroduce an “Ancient-Future” faith based on the ideas, dogmas, traditions and views of the Roman Catholic Church Fathers.
Word-Faith Movement
An examination of the Word-Faith movement. It exposes the errors of the movement and some of its well known false teachers such as: Kenneth Hagin, Kenneth Copeland, Paul Crouch and Benny Hinn.
By His Stripes Are We Healed
There is a popular teaching today, especially amongst Pentecostals and Charismatics, that Christ, on the cross, took upon Himself all our diseases.
Promise Keepers
Upon studying the doctrine of the Promise Keepers, we find that there are three fundamental problems with the movement.
The Bible Codes
The ad reads, "The Signature of God: Astonishing Biblical Discoveries has swept the minds of Christians and skeptics alike. His explosive teaching documents mysterious Hebrew codes in the Old Testament that reveal Hitler, Rabin, Jesus and much more.
A Review of Hank Hanegraaff's The Apocalypse Code
This book is not only filled with factual error throughout, but teaches that most Bible prophecy has already been fulfilled and advocates the following preterist viewpoints: Nero was the beast of Revelation (i.e., the antichrist), Christ's Olivet discourse and most of the Book of Revelation were fulfilled by events surrounding the a.d. 70 destruction of Jerusalem, and the tribulation was also fulfilled in the first century. Hanegraaff is certainly no lover of Israel since he teaches that God divorced the harlot Israel (he needs to read the end of Hosea) and took a new bride-the church, supports the pro-Palestinian claims against Israel, and even accuses Israel of the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians. Hanegraaff embraces and argues for many viewpoints that are detrimental to sound Bible study and interpretation.
Catholicism
Theotokos - Mother of God
The title, THEOTOKOS, "Mother of God," or "God bearer," was first officially accorded to Mary at the council of Ephesus in 431AD.
Roman Catholicism
A point-by-point comparison of the major teachings of the Roman Catholic Church.
Upon This Rock?
According to the Scriptures there is a "catholic" universal Church. Not an organization headquartered in Rome, Italy but the universal Church which Christ is and has been building since Pentecost.
Sola Scriptura
Luther was convinced that the authority structure of Catholicism (Scripture/Tradition/Magisterium or Teaching Office) was illegitimate. He maintained that the church fathers, the papacy, and church councils were fallible...
The Bread of Life
Roman Catholicism cites the sixth chapter of the Gospel of John as foundational in framing the Vatican's defense for its teachings surrounding the sacrament called "The Eucharist." That is, the eating of the wafer (or communion bread) which Romanism claims actually turns into the physical body and blood of Jesus Christ.
Purgatory - Biblical or Not
"I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you, and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed" (Gr. anathema) (Gal. 1:8-9).
Mary, Matthew and the Church of Rome
Mary, the birth mother of Jesus, plays a very important role in the religious traditions and faith of Roman Catholicism, as well as the Eastern "Orthodox" church. These extra-Biblical (outside Biblical revelation) traditions extend from her birth, being immaculately conceived, i.e., without original sin, to her death, subsequently being bodily assumed into heaven
